Lambing at Cantref

We are busy Lambing this February Half Term at Cantref Adventure Farm.

There are lots of new arrivals every day.  One lucky customer saw 4 sets of twin being born during their visit this week.

When the lambs are born they are put in a pen with their mother while they find their feet.  They then move to a larger pen in one of our barns where we check they are healthy and that their mother has plenty of milk for them and looks after them properly.

When they are settled they are then turned out into their natural environment in the field.  The farmer checks them every day to see that they are well.

You can meet the lambs in our shows at 1pm and 3.30pm during February Half Term.  The sheep are in our big animal barn so you might be lucky enough to see one being born during your visit.
