Guinea Pig Bed-Time

Guinea Pig Bed-Time

Night, Night, Sleep Tight...

At the end of an action packed fun filled day at Cantref, help to tuck up our little furry friends into their cosy beds for the night.

Perhaps you might like to read them your favourite bed-time story..

In this hands on show the kid's can help give the guinea pigs their tea and make sure they have enough hay to snuggle up in for the night.

We have lots of breeds and colours of guinea pigs at Cantref.

Here are some guinea pig facts you might learn while at Cantref :-

Breeds include American, Abyssinian, Peruvian, Silkie/Sheltie, Teddy, Crested, Texel, Rex, Himalayan and Skinny.

A male is called a boar, a female is a sow and a baby is called a pup.

Pups can run within 3 hours of being born

Guinea Pigs can't store vitamin C so need lots of fresh vegetables to eat.

Guinea Pigs love attention and will squeak for attention when they hear people near-by
