National Park Trail riding is for the competent rider who
has learn't to ride through the
British Horse Society(B.H.S) or a local Riding School or who used
to ride, when younger, and wants to spend their holiday on horse back
.
If you want a mountain Riding Holiday,
Then you've found the right place.
We run 2 & 4 day trail rides from June through to mid September.
Trail rides are longer "Hacks" and go around a circular route stopping at a different venue each evening.
ALL Riding is on the Brecon Beacons National Park,around the imposing PEN-Y-FAN(2nd highest mountain in Wales)
Rides maintain a "hacking pace" on our welsh cobs and other native breeds.

AUGUST 4th-8th inc. 2 - 5 DAY TRAILS

OCTOBER 6th-10th inc. 2 - 5 DAY TRAILS
ALL TRAILS ARE GEARED TO THE INDIVIDUAL GROUP WHERE
ROUTE AND EXPERIENCE ARE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT.
Riders should be competent at walk, trot and canter
2 DAY TRAILS Example we have many routes>
Leave Cantref Riding Centre and make our way onto the Brecon Beacons ,carry on along
the old Roman Road gently climbing to the gap between Cribin and Pen-y-Fan,
From this vantage point there are spetacular views all around the industrial valleys to the
South
and the unspoilt views of Mid Wales to the North. Then on to our over night stop at a top local hotel.
Day 2 returns to Cantref via a circular route passing through forestry and mountain streams.
FOUR DAY TRAIL Example
These rides cover more varied countryside with different accommodation and routes each day.It allows you to explore a
much larger area of the National park.
