The pet handling show allows children to learn a little bit about the smaller animals at Cantref Adventure Farm.
Rabbits will be brought out for the children and they will have the opportunity to hold a guinea pig on their laps. New arrivals to the pet barn are also shown in this show.
Our friendly staff will be around at all times to assist you.
Fancy a short pony ride whilst visiting Cantref Adventure Farm?
The Cantref Adventure Farm pony ride sessions are £2 per rider (plus the snazzy rosette!).
These rides are ideal for children who have little or no experience of horse riding and are led around by a friendly member of the show team.
Riding hats are provided free of charge and must be worn at all times.
Children must be 93cm or over to ride a pony and the pony rides are available periodically throughout the day.

We are within easy reach of Abergavenny, Hereford, Brecon, Merthyr Tydfil and Cardiff.
Tractor Rides return to Cantref Easter 2013 (from 28th March 2013). The Animal Encounter Tractor and Trailer Ride drives around the farm to show the different animals in the fields.
The ride is taken by our show team and they will give you information about each of the animals you will meet.
Some of the animals you might see include Shetland Ponies, Donkeys, Rare Breed Sheep, Cows, Llamas, Alpacas, Guanacos and Water Buffalo. You will also be amazed by the spectacular views we have of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains.
This great activity is included within your admission price and makes it all part of your favourite family day out in South Wales.

During our Mini Farmers Show your children will get the chance to help feed the animals in our pet barn and around the farm park.

Rocky and Rambo our resident ferrets, watch them crawl through tubes and see how agile they are, great fun for all the family.
Did you know that ferrets are a top pet in America!!!
Rocky and Rambo can be seen competing in our special Olym-Pets during the summer.
Bottle feeding the lambs show allows everyone to learn a little bit more about the farm and lambing at Cantref. It makes a great photo opportunity too! This show runs from Easter until the start of the school holidays. Due to this being one of our most popular shows we then run a bottle feeding kids show (of the goat variety) throughout the school summer holidays until the end of October half term.

Mr Ev's!
Now, Mr Ev's is quite cheeky and can be very naughty at times but in our fun filled children's show he loves singing and dancing and getting everyone to join in with him!
Shows vary throughout the year and Mr Ev's is often joined by various animals on the stage.
